I know...it's been awhile. So much has happened in the last year. A pandemic forced us to go 100% remote with our services. Our high school equivalency program is being taught virtually. Our culinary students are receiving ingredients in the mail and cooking in their own kitchens. Our college student alumni are spending most of their days on zoom from their homes or dorms and their professors are doing the MOST to make up for the lack of in-person learning.
Despite those challenges, we've PREVAILED. 43 of our High School Equivalency students received their diplomas. We distributed over $65,000 in scholarships. Thanks to New York Presbyterian Hospital, we were able to host a virtual summer employment program when the city first made the decision to cut the funding for SYEP. We supported 143 of our participants and alumni with job placement.
But, there is still a lot of work to do. We're working on communicating with you all more regularly. This website will serve as a central location for you to be able to learn about all of the opportunities available to you as a former or current Isaacs participant.
