Program Recruitment

CUNY School of Professional Studies / NYC HRA - Families Forward Program Families Forward is part of a study that includes occupational skills training in several industries: cable installation, construction, cybersecurity, hospitality, IT Support, transportation, and woodworking. Participants must be noncustodial parents and would ideally have some work history. They could be unemployed or looking to upskill.

MEOC Security Officer Training Free 4-day Security Officer Training program at CUNY in the Heights. All applicants are encouraged to complete the online application in advance and bring their required documents to this session. More info and RSVP. 


NPower - Tech Fundamentals - next cohort begins January 21NPower's Tech Fundamentals is a free 23-week workforce development program, which prepares young adults to begin careers in the field of information technology, and includes 16 weeks of in-class instruction and 7 weeks at a full time internship. Students will have the opportunity to earn a industry recognized certification CompTIA A+ and receive professional development training and job-readiness skills. AmEx Finance Professional Re-Entry Program - applications due October 23

Cognizant Digital Business Analyst Certificate Program - applications due Oct 19 A unique train-to-hire 10 week, part-time and online program that prepares students for in-demand careers in consulting targeted toward working professionals with 2-5 years of experience who are looking to make a career change into a high growth industry with exciting career prospects. During the program, students will learn the essential skills needed to become a Business Analyst at Cognizant, and upon completion, students will interview for a position with Cognizant Consulting. Info & apply here

Youth Action YouthBuild East Harlem Youth Action's YouthBuild program is now recruiting its 2020 cohort. 9 month training and education program for young adults between 17-24 years. Training includes HSE instruction, Construction Skills, Building Operators and Food Careers training and related professional certifications. Earn an AmeriCorps Education scholarship become a community leader. More info

LaGuardia Community College: multiple programs TechHire – Open Code Adult Basic Skills Bridge to College & Careers Program

NMIC - YouthBuild: Business Bootcamp 5-month program for young adults (17-24) that provides high school equivalency (HSE) instruction, as well as training in the areas of small business ownership, digital literacy, customer service, Microsoft Office and employment readiness.

MEOC - Fall 2019 Programming Recruiting for ESOL and HSE programs; college prep; and license or certification career training programs, including Certified Nursing Assistant, Electronic Health Records, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Microsoft® Office, Security Officer Training, and OSHA 30 for Construction. Building Skills NY Currently recruiting candidates for full-time entry level construction jobs at over 40 construction job sites throughout NYC. Candidates that meet BSNY minimum requirements are invited to complete an application online and attend an upcoming orientation event. More info here.
