Hello guys! Its me, Brianna! I hope all is well. I'm coming at you guys with another blog which is to how to maintain your health. We have talked about the importance and how to's of self care. But lets talk about How to Maintain Your Health especially since we are in a pandemic!

It is esstinal to have good personal hygiene so your body can fight off illness and boost your self esteem. Below are some ways you can maintain personal hygiene:


Wear Your Mask:

Wearing your mask helps protect you from others and other people from you to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition to this make sure to stay 6 feet away.


Oral Care:

It is essential that you maintain your oral hygiene. Some ways to maintain your oral hygiene: - Brush your teeth morning and at night or after any meals

- Floss to get food in between your teeth that can contribute bad breath

- Gargle and rinse with your preferred mouth wash

- Avoid sweets that can cause cavities

To ensure you are doing these steps right you should see your dentist every 6 months.


Personal Care:

Personal Care covers a lot. To maintain your personal care you should practice


- Showering and washing your hair (as well as keeping it neat by styling and brushing it) regularly especially when active, using soap and water.


- Apply Deodorant to your underarms


- Wear Clean Clothes that fit well


- Wash Your Hands as long as you can sing Happy Birthday


- Trimming Your Nails Weekly


- Eating A Balanced Diet


- Exercising Regularly and Not Playing on Games or Watching TV too often


- Keeping Your Surrounding Areas Well Kept and Clean


- Ensure you get 8-10 hours of sleep


Mental and Emotional Health:

Mental and Emotional Health is very essential as well. Some methods to ensure you have Good Mental Health is by:

- Keeping a Journal of your thoughts, behaviors and feelings

- Ensuring that you Maintain Self Care or creating Me Time

- Managing Stress

- Staying Active

- Good Quality Sleep

- Maintaining Social Connections

- Having a Healthy Diet

- Taking Care of Your Physical and Emotional Needs

- They offer programs in nutrition, fitness/wellness programs, sexual and reproductive health, and primary healthcare

- They DO NOT offer services for adolescents who suffer from eating disorders or substance abuse

- Interactions between patients and doctors are kept 100% confidential! Any mail sent to a patient’s residence is marked with a frog, so patients are up to date with their health status and appointments!
